Print Your Poster

Note that the instructions below were written using Adobe Acrobat Reader X as the printing application. Each application may have different controls used to define paper sizes, scaling, margins, etc. In some applications, you may have to use the application's "Print Setup" or "Page Setup" menu items to define paper size before using the "Print" menu item.

  1. Select your applications print menu.
  2. Select the "epsposter" printer in the printer dialog.
  3. If "epsposter" does not appear as a printer selection in the printer dialog box then it has not been installed, see "Printer Installation" above.
  4. Click on the "Properties" button.
  5. Click on the "Paper/Quality" tab.
  6. Select the print quality level that you want.
  7. Click on the "Custom" button.
  8. Define the custom paper size that fits the size of the poster, give it a name and save it.
    1. The hp print dialog requires that you declare a width that is narrower than the length so put the longest dimension in the length field.
    2. If the length of your print job is less than 42" and the length is generally greater than the width you can save paper by selection the "Landscape" option.
  9. Click "OK".
  10. Select the new custom print size that you have created in the "Document Size" pull down. Note, the new size may not appear after the first time you define it. You may have to cancel printing and restart to see the new size.
  11. The "Auto-Rotate and Center" check box should usually be selected in the "Print" dialog.
  12. Click "OK".
